Had Jeremy Clarkson not punched a producer over catering. Don’t tell me this has been brewing for a long time before the Fracas, because I know the truth.
Thanks, arselicker. Now stay out of the very country you destroyed with a punch.

I think Clarkson should run for Prime Minister of UK. If he doesn’t like you, he will punch you. All of a sudden, order is restored in UK

This is a small enough thread I’m not as ashamed of asking, what exactly is Brexit? Just got on this morning and everyone’s losing their pants over this and I haven’t even had a coffee yet..
EDIT - wait, is this because of GB leaving the EU?

Brexit is Britain’s Exit from the European Union, which frankly they never really embraced anyhow lol.
It will negatively impact the UK’s financial situation pretty severely all because some people just “didn’t want to be in it”

Gotcha, I saw the news and have heard it was being considered for some time but had no idea the repercussion would be this huge, but then again what isn’t now a days.

No problem. I’m no expert on the topic but I did watch an incredibly informative John Oliver video about it LOL.
The irony of it is pretty amazing too, Britain doesn’t want people to have say over them, but yet they don’t want Scotland to be free.

Well it has a big impact because basically by walking away, they are cutting themselves off from the European market, and they’ll have to renegociate everything to gain access again, which will take years. So firms and banks dealing in and out of the UK are freaking out.
And we say UK, but soon it might just be England and Wales. I’ve even heard talks of the City menacing to get independant, Hong Kong style.

You better hope Ford Europe or Ford UK can do what Holden did and take that in the US as a Taurus.

Ye’, Scotland didn’t have a referendum is September of 2014. Nor was the result 44.7% yes to independence and 55.3% no to independence.

With a MASSIVE influence from Britain.
Are you trying to imply that Britain but in zero effort to keep them?

on the contrary, I think it happened because Clarkson didn’t punch enough people.
I don’t know what sense that makes, it’s just amusing to visualize.

Not zero effort. Just the same effort as the Remain and Leave groups did for the referendum.
Just as America, Europe, Asia, etc... gave us threats if we chose to leave.
America (Obama)
“On Friday, at the start of a three-day state visit to the U.K, he said Britain would be at the “back of the queue” when it comes to U.S. trade deals if it leaves the EU after the June 23 referendum on the issue. He said the U.S. would “focus on negotiating with a big bloc, the European Union, to get a trade agreement done.””
France (businesses)
“It said: “We invest because you are a
leader
in Europe’s single market and we all trade freely within the EU. Today’s jobs and tomorrow’s investment - and hence future jobs - depend on the EU being firmly and lastingly anchored within the single market.”
The group said leaving the EU would stop Britain from being great.
It said: “Britain is Great. But to remain attractive to businesses you need the ingredients of that greatness: market access and open trade.
“Trade barriers outside the single market an years of uncertainty about your links with our major trading partners would fundamentally weaken the business case for investing in the UK.”
They added: “For you, for us, for all of us: please don’t leave!””
Scotland had a referendum and campaigning for them to leave or remain with some promises made that if they voted no and agreed to remain then certain things will be devolved from Westminster to Holyrood.
The U.K. referendum was P.M. Cameron was sent to the E.U. to try and amend certain restrictions, laws, etc... that the British people were concerned about (he didn’t get very far), and a referendum was tabled which had been promised years ago to give the people a voice and a choice.
Unfortunately though a larger portion of the younger generation voted to remain in the E.U., a larger portion of the older generation voted to leave.
The result certainly isn’t what I want but that’s democracy, people vote and the most votes wins.
